Outstanding rugged skins on this incredible chocolate brown early 1900's Edwardian hornback alligator handbag with full (large) osteoderms (back scales) that wrap from front to back. This was a very large alligator! Skins are heavy and in nice condition with structured skin-covered top handle and push button solid brass top clasp. Gorgeous mustard genuine leather interior is remarkably clean with one small stain on bottom and no significant signs of use, and features one long open side pocket. A gorgeous, substantial bag weighing in at almost 2 lbs. empty! Nearly impossible to find these bags in this condition! If not for some very minor skin loss on top frame, this bag would be near mint! Amazing!
