Huge LEDERER 1950's-60's Jet Black ALLIGATOR Belly Skin SATCHEL Bag

Absolutely magnificent and rare 1950's-60's alligator belly skin satchel or travel bag by Lederer! Gorgeous, glossy premium center cut belly skins cover the entire bag and the semi-structured top handle. Shiny gold tone squeeze front flap closure and dual sliding top locks. The skins are in gorgeous condition, and the hardware shows some typical surface scratches and pitting. Clean interior is a black genuine kidskin leather showing only mild indications of use - no damage or stains - and features 2 open and 2 zippered pocket(s) - signed "Lederer, 511 Fifth Avenue, Made in France." There is a very faint smell of perfume, otherwise simply outstanding. An absolutely amazing piece, and not to be found again in this condition!
