Beautiful 1941 classic Parisian cognac alligator skin clutch purse made by Calvet Paris in Argentina, which was one of the principal French designer labels (Callot Soeurs)! Bags by Calvet Paris were custom-made for their individual American, European and Argentine clients, and as a result are quite rare and unique! Classic lines, lovely skins and snap front closure with no visible hardware (very desirable)! Lovely, glossy skins are in beautiful condition. Spotless interior is a soft caramel colored genuine sueded leather with 2 open and 1 spot for lipstick - stamp inside reads "Genuine Alligator, Made in Argentina, Industria Argentina." In 2005, Marcela Calvet re-launched her family brand with inspiration from these fabulous original vintage designs!Scrumptious bag in a hard-to-find size!
