Gorgeous custom made (with providence!) 1950's-60's dark navy blue lizard skin handbag with "tree of life" on each side by Martin van Schaak for Virginia Murchison (Linthicum)! Pristine navy blue lizard skins with unique twisted branch style braided lizard skin top handle that comes out of the top of the gold tone "tree" on each side. Spotless interior features 2 exterior pockets and a clasped middle section that features a shiny gold tone top clasp and black genuine leather interior with 2 open pockets - signed "Martin van Schaak, New York." The interior shows a slight amount of wear - otherwise terrific shape! A beautiful bag by this highly sought after vintage designer who catered to the ultra-wealthy and socialite circles. The bag's original owner Virginia "Ginny" was wife to Clint W. Murchison, Sr. and stepmother to John and Clint, Jr., founders and owners of the Dallas Cowboys!
