MARTIN VAN SCHAAK 1950's-60's GREEN Lizard Skin Handbag - FISH!
Gorgeous custom made (with providence!) 1950's-60's dark green lizard skin handbag with jeweled fish by Martin van Schaak for Virginia Murchison (Linthicum)! Pristine dark green lizard skins with stunning jeweled rhinestone and enamel fish and unique structured double lizard skin top handles. Spotless interior features 2 exterior pockets and a clasped middle section that features a shiny gold tone top clasp and green and tan genuine leather interior with 2 open and 1 zippered side pockets - signed "Martin van Schaak, New York." As seen in the photos, there is some very mild color variation on the interior top frame (not visible from the outside) and on the skins in general (specifically on the back) - nothing glaring or compromising. A beautiful bag by this highly sought after vintage designer who catered to the ultra-wealthy and socialite circles. The bag's original owner Virginia "Ginny" was wife to Clint W. Murchison, Sr. and stepmother to John and Clint, Jr., founders and owners of the Dallas Cowboys!
