1930's-40's Chocolate Brown HORNBACK Alligator Skin Clutch Purse
Terrific chocolate brown 1930's-40's hornback alligator skin clutch purse! Skins are soft and supple with head and back "horns" (osteoderms) wrapping from front to inside back pocket. Back is smooth belly skin with a solid back strap for hand carrying. Gussets and bottom are genuine leather with a snap front closure. Interior is a surprisingly spotless genuine sueded leather with 2 open pockets and a mirror pocket under the flap that features a sliding, fold-over mirror. An absolutely lovely piece of history!
